Safe and Effective Therapy for Hepatitis
In recent years, the incidence of hepatitis has increased worldwide. The search for a safe and effective therapy is therefore more important than ever. Astaxanthin, a powerful antioxidant, has attracted the attention of scientists. Astaxanthin, a potent antioxidant, exhibits a wide range of biological activities, including antioxidant, atherosclerosis, and antitumor activities. The aim of this study was to investigate the protective effects of astaxanthin on induced hepatitis in mice, and to explain the mechanisms of the actions.
This research found astaxanthin as a promising potential therapeutic agent for autoimmune hepatitis.
As many of you know, Valasta/ Astaxanthin is one of the many well-known carotenoids. Carotenoids are pigmented phytochemicals found in plants, bacteria, algae, and a plethora of other living organisms. Astaxanthin is often referred to as ‘the king of carotenoids’ because of its reputation as one of the most powerful antioxidants found in nature. However, unlike some carotenoids that convert into Vitamin A, ValAsta/Astaxanthin is of particular significance because it never converts to become a pro-oxidant. This means that it can never bring destructive oxidation in the body, making it perfect for health-related benefits and performance.
