What is Astaxanthin?

Astaxanthin (pronounced Asta – zan – thin) is generated by a microalgae; Haematococcus pluvialis (H. pluvialis) and is consumed by many aquatic animals. It is what makes many of them pink such as salmon and lobsters.

About Shangri-La Life

Shangri-la Life is a veteran-owned and operated business. I am blessed to have experienced a long and storied journey in the field of aviation, serving as a helicopter pilot in two wars, and a career in commercial aviation. I am proud to have served my country in the U.S. Army and currently serve as an Aviation Safety Inspector helping to keep our skies safe.

In 2019 I was introduced to a product called ValAsta in which the natural substance is astaxanthin.
